Hi, everyone. Let me introduce to you the internet’s busiest music nerd. Anthony Fantano here of “The Needle Drop”. One of the most popular music critics on YouTube due to his descriptive analysis of contemporary albums of a variety of genres. His videos are unique for simple album reviews: his editing techniques resemble a pseudo-Max Headroom, his delivery is typically a calm, clear articulated made-for-radio voice. Despite the typically serious nature of his reviews, Anthony likes to play around and act silly sometimes, most notably when hanging out his “roommate”, Cal Chuchesta or when he does the occasional joke review. Something that makes Anthony Fantano infamous is his particularly “cruel” ways of rating things. He’s not the kind of guy to give “10/10” to all the albums that his fans love. Honestly, his way of rating stuff is refreshing for a YouTube reviewer, considering how ungrateful fans just expected internet reviews to give “10/10” to all the good stuff that they love. Even further, the man has been reviewing thousands of contemporary albums for six years now and he’s only given out THREE “10/10”s so far. Seriously, he might just seen like yet another music nerd reviewing albums but really give these videos a watch. They provide insightful views and strong analysis that really aid in his reviews, even if you don't entirely agree with his opinion. Hope you'll enjoy.

Just found out Anthony's channel like month ago and I like it a lot.

@Joizo Yeah, I've been a loyal viewer since about a year ago and have certainly enjoyed his content. While I don't always agree with his opinion, the man knows how to critique albums and he's got a strange 4-chan supported feel that works for me.

I love to watch his POV on albums. His humor is enjoyable as hell and he makes some great arguements that I acknowledge regardless of how much I agree with him .

LUV Anthony's POV/taste, it's usually spot on with mine, he's just professional enough that he doesn't sound like a shill, but not so stuffy that he comes off as a snob ;-D
