IMO an under rated horror film that seems to have fell into obscurity. Great to see Keanu Reeves playing the villain.

Jennifer Lopez stars as psychotherapist Catherine Deane, who uses an experimental -- and potentially dangerous -- technique to step inside the disturbed psyche of comatose serial killer Carl Stargher (Vincent D'Onofrio) in an attempt to save his last victim. Director Tarsem Singh makes his big-screen debut with this harrowing, mind-bending thriller that boasts a strong supporting cast, including Vince Vaughn, Jake Weber and James Gammon.

Of the various David DeCoteau homoerotic horror films, I was able to sit through this one. So, not quite as bad as some of his other films.

Guide to how the list is divided

"Top Picks"
Movies I would Recommend to fans of horror with a few personal favorites

"At Your Own Risk"
Films I wouldn't automatically recommend to horror fans.

So, sort of a mixed assortment of films that I like but others hate or others like and I don't.

"Killer B's"
Sometimes I like a bad move but best to just skip them. Unless your in the mood for that sort of thing.

"Abandon hope all ye who rent"
Films I highly recommend not watching

"Future Horrors"
Films that sound interesting and might one day watch

"Unseen Horrors"
Movies I haven't seen and quite possibly have no intention of ever watching

I'd highly recommend Shadow of the Vampire as well.

I left American Pyscho off a recent list of horror I did as I couldn't decide if it fit the genre description enough, but it's definitely a great flick and probably one that is in my top 20 or so favorite movies.

Anatomy and Battle Royale are right at the top of my Netflix queue currently.

I also have to say I loved Book of Shadows and I can't quite figure out why considering it wasn't really a good movie and the original was so good.

I thought the Watcher was a lot better than most people gave it credit for, so good call there.

American Psycho is definitely in my top 20, and I agree that The Watcher was better than the credit it gets

I really thought Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2 was good.

I would also recommend [REC] and Drag Me To Hell to anyone who hasn't seen it.

Of the unseens Shadow of the Vampire is one of my favorites, and of course you'll have a chance to see Versus soon enough. No Hellraiser film beyond the 4th is worth watching, as guaranteed by their being released straight to video/DVD. And I know I saw Bless the Child in the theatre, but can barely remember it now. Heh.

Several here I still need/want to watch at some point.

Ooo, I like the "Future Horrors" addition. Good to know which ones I just might be able to provide a 'final push' for. (I'm with the gifaffe on Shadow of the Vampire)
