Judas Priest=I've posted a lot of New Wave lists, maybe you think about your Max Patriot as a Robert Smith fan with Tim Burton haircut (ahahahahah!) nope...in early 80's Italy New Wave was so POP and metal kids like me must move to Albion to see big festivals like Donington, anyway this one from my fav studio album of ever.
In 2011 touring Albion and Emerald with my band we had a gig in B'Ham, when we're in the North Side, near the ex British Steel I saw a big metal eagle in the middle of a square, the same metal eagle on the cover of Screaming For Vengeance...I stopped the tourbus, run down and watch the eagle as a kid with a vivid color toy...I've started cry and sing :

Out there is a fortune waiting to be had
If you think I'll let you go you're mad
You've got another thing comin'

Glad to see The Hooters made this list. When "All You Zombies" was released (it was their biggest local hit before being signed to a label), the band was told they would never be successful in most of the US because of the religious references. Quick 80s trivia: the band either wrote, produced, or performed most of Cyndi Lauper's biggest hits.

Any list that includes Adam & the Ants, Joe Jackson and Oingo Boingo will get my vote. Another fun fact: Adam Ant's original band was taken from him by Malcolm McLaren in order to form Bow Wow Wow. I don't think it hurt him much though, since he got Marco Pirroni out of the deal.

@TrekMedic : I didn't know the link Hooters-Lauper, thanks !

@Fnord Prefect : Both Adam and Annabella are touring today, BWW re-founded by No Doubt's Adrian Young, anyway Malcom and Vivienne gambled on the wrong horse, Adam and Marco had better songwriting despite Annabella good looks, I was lucky to see the Ants in my hometown in 1981...

That song from GTR with Steve Howe on guitar is one of my favorite from 1986 and who couldn't like this megahit from Judas Priest's 1982 album Screaming For Vengeance. :))
