ALABAMA
My favorite film of all time just happens to be the first on the list because of alphabetical reasons. Gump travels all over the world in this film; but the film starts and ends in the great state of Alabama! Stehako's rating:
ALASKA
This is my favorite state and favorite film over the last few years, their chemistry is unparalleled in this story that makes me want to live in Alaska more than any other place. Stehako's rating:
ARIZONA
My favorite old western shows many fantastic shots of AZ, specifically monument valley - a place John Ford would later shoot many of his films. Stehako's rating:
ARKANSAS
If you thought only idiots would want to live in Arkansas, psychos also do. Stehako's rating:
CALIFORNIA
It was the first film to give fantastic aerial shots of Los Angeles. We also got to see Malibu, Long Beach, and Catalina. Stehako's rating:
COLORADO
While none of the scenes were actually shot in Aspen, they were shot in Breckinridge, Colorado Springs, and Estes Park, all great places in CO. Stehako's rating:
CONNECTICUT
It's almost as nice as Arbor Day in New Mexico. Stehako's rating:
DELAWARE
"Or you could be whisked away to Delaware... look, I'm in Delaware" Stehako's rating:
FLORIDA
It managed to show all the aspects of Miami without making it too obvious. It made you want to visit; but at the same time made you scared to ever go down there. Stehako's rating:
GEORGIA
I would praise this classic for its epic scenes and life in the deep south; but I don't think it would give a damn. Stehako's rating:
HAWAII
I was surprised to see a comedy project the beauty of the islands as well as this did. It also made the travel destination feel like a place where you could actually live, too. Stehako's rating:
IDAHO
Now we know the perfect habitat for raising llamas. Stehako's rating:
ILLINOIS
Many films shot here, but we got to see Chicago, the countryside, and the state's water system. Stehako's rating:
INDIANA
The greatest story to come out of Indiana. I'm sorry, all you Hoosiers fans, that film is great, this one's better. Stehako's rating:

This film made KS look like a state scattered with small towns filled with uneducated simple folk... accurate? Stehako's rating:
KENTUCKY
Bourbon, horses, and bats; that's what KY is all about. Stehako's rating:
LOUISIANA
With accents galore, you couldn't help but feel like a po' boy after this film. Stehako's rating:
MAINE
All of the shots outside of the bedroom are beautiful, thanks to Maine. Stehako's rating:
MARYLAND
The sickos were from everywhere else; but the story unfolds in MD. Stehako's rating:
MASSACHUSETTS
Many films are shot in Beantown; but I thought this had the best shots of the city and it has to be the best film shot there, too. Stehako's rating:
MICHIGAN
People had forgotten how nice Michigan can be, thanks to people like Michael Moore. This film managed to make it cool again. Stehako's rating:
MINNESOTA
What do Minnesotans love? Hockey. Stehako's rating:

It really solidified the outdoors-centric way of life in Montana; and it hasn't changed much since. Stehako's rating:
NEBRASKA
It wasn't hard to show the blandness of Nebraska in this film. Stehako's rating:
NEVADA
There have been many films shot in Las Vegas; but this one is my favorite. Stehako's rating:
NEW HAMPSHIRE
A beautiful backdrop for the racket going on in the foreground. Stehako's rating:
NEW JERSEY
I could pick any Kevin Smith movie; but I thought they had the best shots and representations of Jersey in this film. Stehako's rating:
NEW MEXICO
The movie was filmed in a few states, but the best landscape shots were in NM. Stehako's rating:
NEW YORK
There are so many movies I could have put here, like Taxi Driver, The Godfather, Elf, Hitch, and hundreds more; but I found it fascinating to see how an area like the 5-Points can grow into what it is today, 150 years later. Stehako's rating:

Description
I was set out to prove at least one well-known and well-liked movie has been filmed in all 50 United States. Obviously some states, like California and New York, have an abundance of coverage on the silver screen, so along with other popular filming states, I have picked films that best represent each state. My apologies to citizens of Delaware.

That is a classic scene in Wayne's World, good work!
Those are great movies but why not Shawshank?
Other than that, Stehako, very interesting list.
"Drop Dead Gorgeous", if you've never seen it would have been great for Minnesota.
