my answer to TrekMedic ... that mean's were getting old (lol) but the ladies had some very sexy clothings and they were so hot and wild in those days... great bathroom memories with them (lol)

Cool list but..why u don't add the Village People and Sheila and The Black Devotion??
Posted: 4 years, 6 months ago at Feb 25 16:28
my answer to Rude Boy... me and my girlfriend we hate Village People and we think it's the worst band of that era and for Sheila and the black devotion we don't even have a song from them however we have over 50 compilations of Disco & Funk music... they may not be popular like the one in our list... wich song did they released ???
Posted: 4 years, 6 months ago at Feb 25 18:30
Ok, maybe you don' t like Village People that much..(I'm not crazy about them too of course..) But you cannot deny they had a huge success in that age and their hit are still played (expecially Ymca..) on every dancefloor!!This should be enough to add them year but also note that a lot of boybands took the dancin step and the vocals from them...
About Sheila and the Black devotion they made a huge success with a song (SPACER) that was later taken by the dance group Alcazar for their hit Crying at the Discoteque..

my answer to Rude Boy... i know that Village People had a lot of success because unfortunately even me i bought 2 vinyls maxi singles from them (in the navy & y.m.c.a.) in the late 70's when i was a young teenager but our list is our favorite Disco & Funk songs and Village People would not even be in our top 200. i'm gonna check for that song from Sheila & the Black Devotion.

Wow, Disco. I remember those days (actually nights into mornings) way to well. You are right though, the women dressed really hot!! Donna Summer was one of my favorites, a true fox that could sing like a songbird. Great list brother!

my answer to iceviper.. oh yes Donna Summer was the Queen of that era because she was a sexy great singer. you know what i even liked the 80's style because the ladies had somekind of classy sexy dress and their hairstyle was awesome... i'm a bit nostalgic when i think of those days because we don't see anymore those hot looks, it's sad they were so hot

my answer to Frank ... on this list it's only our favorite songs of my girlfriend and i and it's dance funk and it's not the 60's funk style like James Brown , Sly & The Family , The Parliement or Isaak Hayes because that kind of funk should have is own list without the disco music included in it. in funk music there's 3 style of funk the retro funk of the 60's early 70's, the dance funk of the mid 70's & 80's (1975-1985)(Kool & The Gang ,Earth,Wind & Fire,Chic,Rick James etc) and the hard rock funk of the late 80's and early 90's (Red Hot Chili Peppers,Bootsauce,Spin Doctors)

70's Disco era, what can i say? Loved it, lived it, had the T-shirt stack-Heel boots (don't tell anyone though) & Baggy Trousers (and i do mean baggy ie 40" parallel legs 6" waistband). I lived for the Dancefloor & music back then. However i preferred the soul side of disco my favourites being O'Jays - I Love Music / McFadden & Whitehead - Ain't no stopping us now. then went into Northern Soul & Jazz/Funk later on House n Trance. My girlfriend at that time used to go out in the Leotard, Lurex tights n String vest top (a big favourite of my mates that last item). But we all agree that Donna Summer's "Love to Love you Baby" was sure HOT. I recall it was said she had toothache when that track was recorded. So when me and my girl were Home Alone and asked what we did that night we replied "TOOTHACHE AGAIN AS USUAL".
