5-Star Quality Television
Why?: Larry David is one of the funniest men alive today, and no, he doesn't need to crack stupid jokes like a lot of actors and comedians out there. He's just placed into hilarious scenarios in everyday life and acts like himself, and it's all improvised! Secondly, the show doesn't get old. Every episode is perfectly planned out with new situations implanted every time. I can't recommend this show anymore, just watch it and see for yourself.

Why?: It's the funniest television show on earth. Every character has a purpose and they all show their comedic abilities. Secondly, it's realistic. It isn't slapstick, there is no laugh track, and every line of dialogue is so smooth and not rushed in the least bit. Although Steve Carell leaving the show will hurt the ratings, I'll still watch it. Because, that's the thing, the whole cast carries the work load. Still, I will miss him!

Why?: It's fricking ridiculously Hysterical!. the gang of five: Frank, Dee, Dennis, Charlie, and Mac cannot be beat, anywhere. Their chemistry is spot-on, and it's as if they don't even have to try, like they're friends in real life being filmed for a reality show. Secondly, the dialogue ins unlike any other show. It's dirty, it's mean, and it's out-of-this-world uniquely crafted. Similar to "Curb", Sunny has the gang in mundanely absurd situations. Except, they actually put themselves in them, attempting to make names for themselves around Philly. I cannot stress this enough. Just a brilliant piece of entertainment.
"What's your favorite food?....... Milk steak.....Milk steak? lets just say steak" -Charlie, Dennis, Mac The Cinephile's rating:
Why?: I find it to be both hilarious and heartfelt all at once. It doesn't take itself too seriously, while at the same it does. Hard to explain, but it's a perfect mash of everything. Each and every character, even the cameos, are of grave importance in this show. They're all perfect. Secondly, the connection each and every one of them have with each other couldn't be better. They all have a back-story which is shown throughout the duration. They all have unique characteristics, and very believable ones at that. I feel like I'm part of their gang every time I watch them. I also love Bob Saget as the narrator. He tells his kids the story of how he met their mother, hence the title. If your looking for some legitimately funny and original material, then look no further, because this is one of the best.
![]() "You know if you say Willem Dafoe slowly, it sounds like a frog talking to a parrot? Willem.....Dafoe!....Willem.....Dafoe!" -Marshall Erikson The Cinephile's rating:
Why?: 'New Girl' knows exactly what it wants to be. It doesn't follow normal sitcom standards, but instead stays true to real-life, everyday circumstances. That makes it all the more enjoyable, organic and relatable. Not to mention flawless dialogue and a pitch-perfect, adorable Zooey Deschanel as the workhorse for the hilarious goings-ons in the show. 'New Girl' is a fresh new staple in my viewing agenda.

Why?: Trailer Park Boys does not hold back. It has no respect for anything or anyone, and while that may seem like a bad thing, it manages to be hilarious the whole time. It's also somewhat improvised, and the characters all just say whatever feels right, and it's dead-on every time. When I'm feeling down, this show makes me feel like nothing else matters, and that life is a funny thing. I'll admit it's not for everyone. Some may be offended. I don't mind crude things, so I look at it as a gem, and a must see.

Why?: It's consistent. Every episode is packed full of laughs, making for a series that simply cannot get old. Alan, in my opinion, is the best character on the show. So, as a result, the show continues to impress even after Charlie's departure. The cast at hand could not have been picked better. And yes, I enjoy Ashton Kutcher in this role, and think the decision was a good one. However, it will never be as good as it once was.
