As Sherlock Holmes in the BBC series Sherlock. Since I have seen him live in Frankenstein and am slowly making my way through his back catalogue. How did I not know who he was before?
He's going to be huge after his wonderful turn as Magneto in X Men: First Class on top of great performances in Fish Tank and Hunger. Plus he's pretty handsome which doesn't hurt.
I always thought "art films" were pretentious and boring until I saw Eraserhead for the first time. Since then I've been hooked on Lynch's particular brand of cinema (and TV).
He's just become so annoying. And smug. Occasionally he's in a film and he'll be good (like 12 Monkeys or Burn After Reading) but in generally he's just irritating.
After Titanic I had high hopes for Ms Winslet. But then she lost all that weight, presumably to be more "hollywood" and her film choices haven't held much interest for me. A shame.
When the Harry Potter movies started out we all thought all Rupert could do was gurn and swear and look scared, but as time as gone on he's proved that there's a lot more to him than that, particularly in The Deathly Hallows where he shows extraordinary subtlety and range.
I don't get it. He did a couple of great roles (Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Cape Fear) but I think a lot of his output is very middle of the road and bland.
She just isn't very good and somehow she maintains an A List status. Plus her face barely moves now she's had work done which means she acts even less!
I'd always liked him even when he was just in silly rom-coms, but since A Single Man and The King's Speech he's made his way to the very top of my list.

I liked these by other people so I decided to do one myself.
Well done.
