Being a fan of the other three and seeing that this was directed by the man who brought us the 2nd, I thought I would adore this film. I hate it. It tried to take a horror comedy style, and that just doesn't work for a slasher.
I don't care what anyone says. This film is simply breathtaking. The re-moval of the cannibalistic scenes wasn't a problem for me. The suspense and horror are all still here, surrounded by great atmosphere and direction.
This is a terrific, suspenseful and clever indie flick that's sort of a mix between Scream, Saw and My Little Eye. If you read this list you owe it to yourself to pick this up.
This beautifully directed slasher comes from the chilly mountains of Norway. A nice throwback to the golden days of the slasher and sort of kick started the genre again.
I had to take a nice long walk on busy streets to clear my head of this demented piece of trash. Drove my mother to tears. I truly believe it could cause insanity.
This 80's slasher throwback is buckets of bloody fun. Anyone who appreciates the crafting of deliciously violent kills will gobble this right up. I adored it.
Peter Evans played pitch perfectly by Michael Shannon.
He is a complex, geniunely loveable and frightening character all at the same time. At points he reminds me quite a bit of myself.
"And in the end, I think it must be about faith, and if faith is a choice, then it can be lost - for a man, an angel, or the devil himself. And if faith means never completely understanding God's plan, then maybe understanding just a part of it - our part - is what it is to have a soul. And maybe in the end, that's what being human is, after all."
Paul played by Rider Strong of Boy Meets World fame.
We are both strangely gentle for dudes, suck at telling women how we feel and get crapped upon by our peers.
