2011 Favorite Albums... So Far!
I never make an album number one on my lists after only listening to it once!...yea it's INSANE!
4Gypsies's rating:
Lyrically its less "metal" than their previous release of Guardians but its grand and filled with hope and brutality! This album goes into the more hardcore aspect of deathcore and I love it! The breakdowns are NASTY!
Rating: (9.0/10) 4Gypsies's rating:
No flaws, emotional-Christian uplifting lyrics and pure brutality oh..and its a melodic wonder!
Rating 9.8/10...track number 6 isn't one of my favs or else it'd be a 10 4Gypsies's rating:
One of the finest showings for a first solid album. They combine various vocal styles with deathcore/metalcore riffs throughout this killer album. Its hard to put a label on what style it is, but its just a solid metal album to be listened to. They'll go from a nasty breakdown to a melodic verse and then a monsterous solo..The Gun Show is awesome and here to stay....better get your tickets :P

I've only listened to this a couple times, but its spectacular. Emery's always been a favorite band of mine and they never fail. Their bassist Devin, left the band before this album :( and although he'll be missed, this album is great! Its their heaviest and has breakdowns!!! A rarity and an unexpected treat for me. This album is not similar to any of their others and its unique and worth hearing! Rating: (9.2/10)
4Gypsies's rating:
Their maturest album to date! Motherland's cover is a great way to peek your interest and then you listen to the first song and it grabs you! They keyboards are stellar with that Arsonists feel you crave. the solos on the album are righteously in key and takes you for a whirl! The vocals and breakdowns are more low and brutal than ever. Of course their grind, strange elements are throughout and get you going! LISTEN TO IT!
Rating: (8.7/10) 4Gypsies's rating:
One of the most melodic and odd albums I've heard in awhile. The use of non-typical metal instruments, makes this album one to listen to. Its not their heaviest, from my perspective but its their most creative and experimental. It takes a couple listens, but it grows fast !
Rating: 8.9/10 4Gypsies's rating:
Although its just 3 songs, they're considered to be one grand 30-minute track! The whole 30 minutes is a masterpiece without any flaws.
Rating: (9.0/10) 4Gypsies's rating:
Deathcore and weird awesome noises galore!! I dig this album a lot, 15 songs of breakdowns that don't get old for me...dig it!
Rating: (8.6/10) 4Gypsies's rating:
Only 4 songs :/ but its enough to hold me over until another killer album from these technical death metal dudes. I keep listening to these on repeat and the songs flow well together :)
Rating: (8.8/10) 4Gypsies's rating:
I've been anticipating this albums release for some time. I wasn't disappointed but I expected some more diversity. the most diverse part is the intro track. It sets the dark brutal catchy mood and gets you ready to mosh! I love 4 songs off the album and a couple others are good but this is my least favorite release so far. Brutal nonetheless and worth hearing..except California...hahaha unless you want a BIG laugh!!
Rating: (7.8/10) 4Gypsies's rating:
Lovely vocals and the title track is sooooo catchy, unbelievable and bluesy! Best track on there in my view. The vocals stand out in this acoustic album and are a must listen.
Rating: (8.3/10) 4Gypsies's rating:
Musically its brilliant and there was only one or 2 songs that I didn't care for. Its another crazy, classic Protest the Hero. I'd buy this album for sure. Its technical, proggy and brutal all in one.
Rating: 8.3/10) 4Gypsies's rating:
brutal breakdowns and crazy synth...count me in!
Rating: (8.0/10) 4Gypsies's rating:
I'm actually disappointed in this album, its still good, but it could have been more "peppier" and exciting. Oh well, they're still gypsy !

I don't see The Hunter here. Also if you didn't hear East of the Wall's The Apologist, you should.
