Listened to all their older albums and the excellent new album Dig Out Your Soul.

2. Sarah McLachlan
Nothing new from Sarah last year. However, I really got into Fumbling Towards Ecstasy for the first time last year and now consider it her finest album.

3. Duffy
I'm begging you for Mercy! Mercy!

She released her debut album Rockferry early last year and it was quite the cracker. The single Mercy was pretty much everywhere in the first half of the year.

4. Michael Buble
Heard one of his songs in a co-workers office and got hooked. Listened to all three of his albums pretty evenly.

5. Bruce Springsteen
Saw The Boss in concert early last year and this fueled a listening frenzy before and after it. A lot of the time I was listening to The Essential Bruce Springsteen, an excellent 3 disc set for the casual and hardcore fan alike.

6. Velvet Revolver
Guns n Roses - Axl + Scott Weiland = Velvet Revolver.

The music sounds a lot like early GnR, in the Appetite for Destruction era. I listened to both their albums for the first time last year and enjoyed them immensely.

7. Roxette
Not sure where these guys came from. I haven't really listened to Roxette since the 1990s. I realised this year that their music till the mid 90s was very much guitar driven and this gave them a new lease of life. Basically, I listened to their Greatest Hits album from 1995, as this was the end of the good music they put out.

8. Silversun Pickups
Really got into their breakthrough album Carnavas early in the year. I'm eagerly anticipating their new album due this year.

9. Soundgarden
I loved their breakthrough album Superunknown back in the mid 1990s. I sort of re-discovered them last year when I saw the lead singer, Chris Cornell, in concert last year.

10. David Gray
I discovered this singer songwriter late in 2007 and continued listening heavily to him into early 2008 as well. A good way to get into his music is to pick up his best album, White Ladder and the Greatest Hits released in late 2007.
