2004

2004 ranks as my #1 year in the 2000's in average Top 10 rating with an 8.9. It brought my favorite comedy of all time, Anchorman, one of the most quotable movies in recent memory, Napoleon Dynamite, and quite a few other very solid entries. Because of the strength of 2004, I decided to expand my Top 10's into Top 25 to see if this rating held up, or if it actually increased it's lead!

Here's my Top 5, click here for the rest of the list... the depth of this year is evident as there were easily 40 movies I was able to find worth ranking. Of course, this could also be attributed to the fact that I just watch more movies now than earlier in my life.

Quick Note: Before you knock me for this Coach Carter selection, I'm a coach. So I relate to quite a bit in the movie...

The 2000's were really the first decade that I was old enough to watch movies and go to alot of movies throughout the entire decade, and have enough of an opinion to really form a definite idea of what I thought about a movie.

I disagree wildly about the films but I really like your list. You have taken care and thought and that matters. Thanks for sharing :)

Yeah, I definitely have a wide array of taste, and I lean much more towards the comedy and action than the drama and artsy films. Quite a bit of this list changed just while I was putting it together!

I try to rank the films based on how readily I'd watch them again, a 10 I never get tired of watching and on and on. A 7 or 8 is about as high as I go for a film that I really like, but don't really see myself watching again, unless with a group or something.

Thanks for the comment though!
