Herman LI is one of the fastest guitarists out there, I know speed doesn't have to do with anything, but some of his solos are SPECTACULAR, melodic and heartfelt. He's one heck-of a player.

Eddie Van Halen's Eruption, when I heard that, I decided to play guitar.

J.B. Brubaker..He comes up with some of the trickiest breakdowns, intricate grindcore-esque riffs and lovely melodicness. Check this guy out.

Adrian Smith and Dave Murray are one of the best guitar duos. They started horse galloping(as I call it/in my opinion) and their riffs are LEGENDARY.

Paul Waggoner and Dusty Waring
Check out "Alaska" these guys put out some of the most BRUTAL and LOVELY EMOTIONAL GUITAR riffs PERIOD. Prog metal experts right here...oh and they are self taught..

KING OF SHREDD and gypsyness

Plays every style of music, better than anyone else. no-one comes close. He can switch from heavy metal to jazz in the matter of seconds. The sounds he gets out of the guitar make my jaw drop and then I have to go to the hospital.
