About: Jason Isaacs is the 3rd of 4 children. He studied Law at Bristol University and graduated in 1985 with a degree in law but decided to study acting. Whilst at Bristol University he directed and/or appeared in over 20 productions. Whilst at the Central School of Speech and Drama he met his wife Emma and graduated from there in 1989. Together with his partner Emma Hewitt, the couple have two children; Lily {born March 2002} and Ruby {born August 2005}. He also speaks Spanish fluently.

" Jason Isaacs originally considered not returning for The Deathly Hallows movies, fearing that his character's arrest and imprisonment at the end of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix would mean very little if any screen time in the finale. Upon meeting J.K. Rowling, he begged to be let out of prison. She told him "You're out. Chapter one." This immediately convinced him to sign on for the film."
