The first film was just a tester to see how well it performed. Hence, the 'don't know whats goin on' feel because they didn't have the budget to have them on screen all the time. Maybe we'll see less of the human characters as a bonus. Transformers shouldn't be anything less than a high-octane bullet barrage on a runaway train.

I went to see the first one, knowing I'd hate what they did to my beloved childhood fandom, because I had to see it first hand. Now that I know what the series is, I don't have to inflict any further sequels on myself. I'll just stick to movies with plot and stay out of the fighting robot genre.

I remember watching the entire cartoon series when i was younger(we have it on DVD and sometimes i just get the urge to watch some Autobots beat some Decepticons) Sequels are never as good as the first, but i give everything a chance, especially if the first one was kick-ass.
