This is by far the best combat flight simulator game that I've ever played. Lucasarts hit it big with this title.

A variety of Spacecraft to pilot, each with their own arsenals, strengths and weaknesses with an even greater compliment of supporting crafts and capital ships.

"XvT was the mash-up of the individual games X-Wing and Tie Fighter, and the reason I begged my Dad to buy a new computer in 1997. This game allowed players to choose their ships, their side in the war of the rebels and the empire, do dogfights, go on missions, complete campaigns and even play online. It did feel like it was missing a few things, but the Balance of Power add-on (see above) was the answer."

I also loved the differentiation between Capital Ships names. Malevolence, Malice etc for the Empire and Hope and Liberty etc. for the Rebels. It helped me expand my vocabulary!!” read more
