Like the sun and the moon, video games come and go. In our polygon and pixel fueled bliss (and frustration) we often overlook the signs that tell us what will be continuously embraced and what is down for the count. "While it may be the similarities it shares with Syphon Filter 3 when it comes to it’s method of storytelling, Tomb Raider: Chronicles is a lot more resourceful than a mere glance would suggest. There are a few moments (as strange as they be) that make me regret giving up on the series after Tomb Raider III. It is definitely a suggested stop for those that lost interest in the series at that point like I did.""

"My ultimate favourite. (I think.) But still, cannot really choose between TR III and this ^^'' I don't really have a reason why I love these so much, but maybe it's because they have so many good levels imo. And they're all over the world, not just in one country etc. I really loved the young Lara level in this. Had some great horror elements. Anyways, I like all the levels in this (well maybe not the last one...)

Because of this the last two games on the PlayStation, The Last Revelation and Chronicles, didn't even register a blip on my gaming radar despite the fact the PS1 was alive and well. "The gameplay of Tomb Raider Chronicles is closely tied to that of The Last Revelation. In terms of movement, the only new additions to Lara's skills are the ability to walk on a tightrope, the ability to grab and swing on horizontal bars and the ability to drop from a ledge forwards while crouching.
Although graphically praised as one of the best installments in the series, the game was subject to numerous criticisms, primarily due to its lack of originality. Many felt the Tomb Raider formula h"
