The Witcher is a dark game with a dark world. War, rape, murder, poverty, genocide, discrimination, racism, torture, fanaticism - are just a few words that describe this setting. This is the world where humans rule, and non-humans like elves, dwarves and gnomes are subjected to cruel treatment. This is the world where Geralt has to live and subject to. Will Geralt be a victim to a few sentimental moments of kindness, or will he survive as a cynical bitter murderer? These are the choices that you have to make.
Using a heavily modified engine of Neverwinter Nights, The Witcher delivers fast-paced motion-captured smooth combat action, a unique morbid storyline and choices with severe consequences. The game features alchemy and an original real-time combo-based point-and-click combat system.
