The greatest time-waster of all time

I started playing the original Sims round about the time the second expansion pack came out. It's one of those games that can pull you in so much that you forget to take care of your own needs. In fact, it's a running joke in the Sims fan community.

This sequel is everything the first was, and so much more. Now we've got genetics, and aging, which means your sims can be related as more than just child or married. You actually get grandparents, aunts, uncles...all that great stuff.

Your sim can be abducted, so be careful when watching the skies through your fancy telescope. And if your sim dies, there is a chance they might haunt the family who lives on the lot they died on (so long as their tombstone is on that lot).

It's graphics intensive, but the new behaviors and genetics make it more than worthwhile if your computer can handle it. I highly recommend it.

This is definitely the best PC game ever! Highly addictive and entertaining. I cant wait for SIMS 3 and its seamless neighbourhoods and new create a sim!!

I have to admit it gets boring at sometimes...but if u have the right expansions it gets so fun its not even funny!I lit my father's sims on fire xD it was funny when death came :P.I made some sims couples and they kept failing college so i kept on making more sims un til i had to make a neighborhood.For some mods go to these sites:

Overated

The Sims i used to enjoy but now its boring and its the same thing after same thing. This is not the best pc game around at all i find Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 a whole lot better then this. The expansion packs of Sims 2 are a joke about £19.99 for add on's which arent even good come on all EA and Maxis are trying to do is cash more money on a few more crappy updates

Best PC Game

I agree, The Sims is officially the best PC game. It has a lot to offer, and almost everyone that I know that has played it loves it.

But be warned - It is highly addictive and once you've got this soon you'll want the expansion packs.
