In 1996, Konami decided to release an RPG on the Playstation game console in North America. This RPG wasn’t visually stunning, it wasn’t 3D, and it just looked like a run-of-the-mill role playing experience...But remember back to when you were in grade school and your teacher told you not to judge a book by its cover? The hero of the game is the young son of Theo McDohl, a general who serves the Scarlet Moon Empire, presently controlling the land of Toran. Through a series of events the hero becomes involved in a rebellion against the Empire, led by an organization known as the Liberation Army. Will the hero find a new home there, will he be able to tear himself away from everything that has been sacred to him, including his own father?..
"Suikoden" is a console-style RPG with several unusual additions. There are three kinds of combat in the game: the most common one is the traditional turn-based party combat (you can have up to six people in your active party). You equip magic runes on your characters that allow limited usage of offensive and healing spells. Suikoden was a great early RPG for the Playstation. Though graphically, it looked a generation behind, the gameplay more than made up for any visual unpleasantries. The game is short by RPG standards (20-25 hours for most folks), but the ability to find and recruit 107 other members for your party helps add the the replay value a bit. Most of the later Suikoden games are better than the original in most aspects,"

When your pop goes away on business, you find out that your best friend is a 300-year old teenager and that the castle’s sorceress wants the magic rune thing embedded in his hand. This leads to that, that leads to t” read more
