I freaking loved Jedi Knight. I did my best to not have high expectations for it's sequel, knowing there was no way to top Jedi Knight. And let's be honest, there is no way to top Jedi Knight. Regardless, Jedi Outcast is a really fun game. I really liked the updated graphics (a HUGE leap from Jedi Knight's) and will always appreciate the ability to "draw" stuff on the walls with your lightsaber. B... read more

"Star Wars Jedi Knight II follows Kyle Katarn as he tries to live a semblance of a normal life after his encounter at the Valley of the Jedi in the Star Wars Jedi Knight game. This is both a 1st person shooter and a 3rd person melee game. The game isn't very attractive in terms of graphics, but the story is pretty nice for a Star Wars game, and it's game that can be enjoyed more than once.

Regardless, Jedi Outcast is a really fun game. I really liked the updated graphics (a HUGE leap from Jedi Knight's) and will always appreciate the ability to "draw" stuff on the walls with your lightsaber. Basically I just like how if you have your lightsaber on and walk by a wall, it leaves a mark, literally.
The story is only so-so this time around for me, having a mini T-Rex for an evil dark Jedi just didn't quite work as much as some dark/evil dude with no eyes did in Jedi Knight. The multiplayer is highly refined and still worth playing even today. I really like some of the levels, esp” read more

"15: Should have died
Jan Ors - Hear me out: I like Jan I really do, but can you imagine how berserk Kyle would have gone if Desann really did kill Jan? Faking her death wasn't enough, he should have killed her. I'm sure deep down Kyle could feel through the force Jan wasn't gone; but if she was oh man Kyle would have opened a can of something else on Desann and probably taken the whole Jedi Academy just as an added bonus, it woulda been awesome!

"Day 20 - Favorite genre
A favorite genre is a tough question because I enjoy so many and yet I don't like every game of a single genre. I enjoy RPG's, action, shooters, hack'n'slash, arcade; they are all good. So I added my own genre, my favorite is the Jedi genre. Excluding very few Jedi games, you make my character a Jedi and I'll most likely enjoy it."

"The sequel to the best Star Wars game ever had humongous shoes to fill, and it didn't disappoint. While not quite as good as Jedi Knight, in my humblest of opinions, Jedi Outcast still gave a great story, great characters, we still got lightsabers (and we could now etch stuff into walls with them, yeah we all did it for hours on end) and some updated force powers. What could it possibly be missing? Those awesome real life cinematic cutscenes, duh."
