The Caribbean Sea at 1570. England, France, Spain and the Netherlands fight for the leadership of the colonies in the New World. This is the scenario for Port Royale – the unofficial sequel to Patrician 2.
First you have to choose your favorite nation. In one of their cities you begin your career with a little ship. At the beginning you have to trade the 19 goods. The prices changes by offer and demand. After selling one type of good in a city, the price sinks.
With enough money you can buy new ships or own plantations. Meanwhile rises your respectability in the population. Then you can lead up to 10 convois with 100 ships.
Sometimes pirates attack your ships, then starts a seabattle. You only take one of your ships – the CPU control the others. Like Pirates you shoot against your enemies or flee by reaching the end of the screen.
Your aim is being Governour. To reach this, you can also find your captured mother and sister or find a buried treasure.
