Nintendo knows how to build fun consoles and games. They've hit a home run with the Wii, once again.
Truthfully, the games I play overwhelmingly tend to be racing games or sports games. I never liked the idea of playing FPS games on a console while fidgeting with the aiming using the direction keys. I'd much rather play on a PC and aim with the mouse. I haven't owned a console in o... read more

I just bought a Wii less than 12 hours ago, after taking a bit of time to decide which console to buy. The Wii is the cheapest by far, and after a lot of reading (and thinking), I decided on this one, and thankfully managed to find one, since they are so hard for stores to keep in stock! Brought it home with a couple of games and tried it out, and it's great. Quite the workout when playing Wii ... read more

"The constant hunting that I did for this console was just so tiring. When this came out, everyone wanted it, all thanks to Nintendo's extremely effective marketing campaign and I didn't get it until three months later after it came out. The Nintendo Wii is a very surprising console since it completely beat its high definition competitions by sale as this console is pretty much like the previous generation by performance standards. Obviously, I play this console for the Nintendo exclusives like M"

"Owned from 2006 - 2008
First Game: Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
I got it after Christmas and had to wait in line to buy it at Best Buy. I used the money that I got for Christmas to buy it. I sold it in 2008 to get a PS3. I wish I keep it a bit longer to play the newer games like Super Mario Galaxy 2. "
"I don't own this console, but I have played it enough where I feel like I have owned it. The unique controller may or may not be a fad, but some of the games designed around it are a hoot to play (I'm looking at you, Wario Ware and Raving Rabbids)."
“As a PC gamer, I have never been interested in console gaming. For me, downscaling on visuals, controls, and not to mention games and gameplay never did appeal. But the Wii isn't an ordinary console. From the outset, I loved the new controls, and it makes a great console for when I don't quite feel like playing PC games, and would rather just sit around on a sofa. Other than the PS3 for its blu-ray capabilities and Little Big Planet, it's the only console worth getting.” read more

I'd much rather play on a PC and aim with the mouse. I haven't owned a console in over a decade now, but that changed with the Wii. It hits the spot for both racing and sports, if they games designed properly.
As far as racing games go, there are two varieties - ones you steer with the wii remote and ones you steer with the nunchuk or classic controller. So far, I've tried about 5 different games and have come away satisfied with all but one. So it doesn't have the best gra” read more

Brought it home with a couple of games and tried it out, and it's great. Quite the workout when playing Wii Sports - definitely not a game you can play while sitting down, which is great, having that encouragement to get off my lazy butt! Looking forward to many long hours of game play, as well as the upcoming Wii Fit :)” read more

The Wii makes you get up and do a bit of exercising while playing your games. I find it annoying how everyone says the Wii is gay with it's controls, but look at how much the Wii has sold at here in England for Christmas it is sold out almost everywhere making it hard to buy one of these.
The Wii adds more value that you can download classic games from snes, nes, mega drive, n64 and others.
If you want fun and a new game experience buy the Nintendo Wii” read more
