"I remember my dad rented this when I was five. I thought it was funny seeing him stay up late to play it since he rarely played video games. Later on, my brother and I got it for Christmas and I got to enjoy it again. I have, sadly, never beat it."

"Mike Tyson seemed unbeatable in real life and this game! This game did a great job of starting you off with a schlub and building you up to some real challenges. Passwords to skip some easy fighters and you got a highly addictive boxing game! It's not real strategical or in depth but that is almost the appeal to it because their was no way around it you had to out quick the punches and then punch back. They tried to re-create it but never quite could. Great game and still never gets old."

"Beat February 28, 2011
Though the ending screen stated that I went 14-0, I actually went 14-1. Had to reset the system as the game froze on me. I suppose if you count the freezing as a forfeit, I went 14-2. But no matter what my record was, I beat Tyson. I TKO'ed the fella and still had both ears intact. Beating this game, along with Contra earlier this weekend, I feel as if I really accomplished something...In a nerdy sort of way. But yeah, Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! has now been beaten. Tremend"

"Again, one more game I haven't gotten completely through, but such a fun game to play.
I am particularly fond of the music during and in between matches."
"#12 - Mike Tyson(>=/WTF man)
Mike Tyson might not be a "villain" in the traditional videogame context, but he's certainly one of the most well-remembered boss fights from the Nintendo Entertainment System era. The Brooklyn-born boxer made his digital debut in the late '80s.
Originally the title boss of Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!, Tyson faces the hero Little Mac in an extremely challenging fight. Tyson can essentially deliver one-hit knockouts, forcing the player to react with incredible speed "

"Mike Tyson
The most annoying aspect of fighting the title character in Mike Tyson’s Punchout! isn’t the uppercut that signals instant death for anyone on the receiving end, or the grotesquely large physique of someone who could destroy you even if he was half your size, or even the fact that your character was given an embarrassingly limited repertoire of moves. No, the most annoying aspect is the fact that in 1987, Mike Tyson’s Punchout! was possibly the most realistic game ever invented"
