Metroid on the NES was one of the first games to give off real challenge like the Legend of Zelda. There was nothing wrong with this game. There are 3 stages to the game: Brinstar, Norfair and Tourian. There are 3 bosses in the game: Kraid, Ridley and Mother Brain. Description: Metroid provided one of the first highly nonlinear game experiences on a home console. The basic gameplay is a mix of action adventure and platform shooter. The player begins with a very limited amount of power-ups, and must always use their ingenuity to achieve the next "locked" or unreachable area. Because the game world is presented in one multi-screened "level," there are some areas that can be reached before they were meant to be by creative and highly skilled players.
