One of the best games ever made. The story in this game goes deeper further into the Metal Gear Mythos than the others did, really make sure you've played at least the first Metal Gear Solid before playing because if your missing out on story your missing out on the best part. The new game mechanics further show how smart and cutting edge this series is and you will not dare skip a cut scene (no matter how lengthy because the storyline is just too engrosing and epic to even miss a bit). You will be on your edge the whole way through and some set pieces are the greatest in any video game. Just when you think you know what's going on it'll all go on it's head with very clever story twists. Metal Gear Solid has the greatest story telling in any video which beats most films handsdown when it's...Read more

Greatest Game

This is one of the best games I have ever played. The Kojima story is awesome as usually. The game has awesome graphics and gameplay. The reply value is really high. Even thought you mostly play as Raiden it makes Solid Snake look more of a great soldier by fighting with him.

Kick Ass

First of all, hats off to Hideo Kojima for this kick ass game. The Metal Gear games (had they been constructed chronologically) would appear in this order: Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (PS2), Metal Gear Solid (PS1), Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (PS2), and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (PS3). Sons of Liberty is a game filled with so many twisted plots that it will make you not want to skip through the cinematic scenes. This game gets so close to real life FBI/CIA shit that it isn't funny. You'd think that the government would have banned this game from hitting American shores. There are many points in the game that will make wonder "is this shit real"? You play between two characters, code names Snake, and Raiden. Snake is the 5 o'clock shadow, lone hero type of guy. He...Read more

This game gets a lot of criticism from MGS fans, partly because the storyline ties itself into so many knots, and partly because there is just a great deal of talking between the major parties which cuts down the amount of time you actually have to play the game. Despite both of these points being true, I still think it's an amazing game because there are so many hidden things for you to see, find, discover and do. That's typical of a Metal Gear Solid game, but I thought this one was just fantastic. The bosses were hilariously camp and typically ridiculous and there is hours of fun to be had annihilating hapless guards in so many different ways. I thought it really was a challenge to get around the guards at times, as they were so well drilled. A back up team of beefcakes would arrive ...Read more
