Zero is my favorite game character and this game is the shit! The game is fucking difficult but very enjoyable and only 8 years old will hate this game.
When the 1993 mega hit Mega Man X was in its earliest stages of development, it wasn't planned to star a blue bomber similar to the protagonist of the original series. The character Zero, significantly different in appearance due to his red-and-white suit and long blonde ponytail, was set to play the starring role. However, Keiji Inafune - the character's creator and primary series artist along wi... read more

The legendary heroes of the Reploids, X and Zero, defeated the evil Sigma long ago, and a new army was created to prevent outbreaks of the Maverick Virus. But as time went on, the army became oppressive, and began to deal out a paranoid brand of justice. It is said that their leader, once a great warrior, has become cold and calculating, eliminating any Reploid that dares oppose him.
A hero is needed in these dark times, and that is exactly what Ciel and her rebel group have found in an old ruin...a hero from the past, reborn in the future.
Zero has come into a time he does not know, to save it from a figure of the past...the fate of freedom rests on his shoulders.... (more)(less)

" X is Mega Man, aged up into teenagehood.
After Mega Man had defeated so many times, while still retaining a child-like personality, Dr. Light was getting bored of this same, same old story. So, he destroyed Mega Man and rebuilt him into a new, older-looking form, while keeping his personality intact. Then he rewired Mega Man, giving him free will in order to make him go through that rebellious-teenager phase. Having never had children of his own it wasn't later until he realized that a superpow"

"Platform: Game Boy Advance
Release year: 2000
Developer: Inti Creates
Since sequels to the Mega Man and Mega Man X series were wearing on the public, developer Inti Creates was called in to do what Keiji Inafune had intended to do almost a decade earlier: place emphasis on a different character that plays differently, Zero. Though it exists in the same continuity and stars X's sidekick, the collectible Cyber Elf upgrade system, nonlinear world, and advanced storyline make Mega Man Zero a new e"

The character Zero, significantly different in appearance due to his red-and-white suit and long blonde ponytail, was set to play the starring role. However, Keiji Inafune - the character's creator and primary series artist along with Hayato Kaji - feared that fans wouldn't react well to having such a different robot as the main character and intead had Kaji design a more mature-looking blue Mega Man character. Zero was placed in the game as a supporting character, and would be playable later in the series. When the original and X series were starting to lose steam in the early 2000s, Inti Creates offered him his own series ” read more

I like plenty of action games, but this one is probably the most action-y. Whether it's avoiding projectiles with lightning-quick dashes and skillfully-guided jumps, or sliding against a wall while shooting a major adversary just before jumping over it as the boss rams into the wall, or taking out enemies one time after another to level up Zero's weapons, this game tests one's abilities (okay, maybe that last example doesn't) and does nothing to limit the player's control over the Reploid in q"

I slash through your bullet so quickly I don't even touch it.
I believe that helps me somehow.
Spanning almost ten years, the Mega Man games I've played in my life have distracted me from school time and time again.
Time #1: In middle school I played Mega Man 6 at the end-of-class break. I liked it, but since then I've had to look back on my enjoyment with a grain of salt because I hadn't played 1-4 where all the innovation took place.
Time #2: At the beginning of college I got an itch to pl"

The controls for this game are silky smooth - I found myself doing dashes and wall slides just because I darn well felt like it. Thus, even during the harder parts playing it is a joy. And about the difficulty - I didn't find it to be that bad so long as one uses Cyber Elves. The game got progressively easier for me as I fed, downloaded, and used them, in fact. I'd compare this game's difficulty to that of the two Shaman King: Master of Spirits games. Hard, but no"
