I have to admit, I was extremely skeptical when I put down the money for a Mega Man 5 cart. In all honesty, I thought it was ludicrous that I was paying more for one of the sequels than I did for a copy of the 1987 original. Nothing in that respect has changed, but I'll be damned if Mega Man 5 didn't pull the rug out from under me despite partaking of previous, seemingly uneventful play throughs. ... read more

As Dr. Light begins to investigate this rampage and attempts to find a way to stop it, he is kidnapped by the leader of the robots. Rockman hurries to save Dr. Light, but is too late...the only thing he can find at the scene is a yellow scarf...one that almost seems to belong to...Blues!?

After every game, once Wily was defeated, Light deactivated Mega Man and dissassembled him, possibly restoring him to the original Rock body and possibly not. He did this to prevent anyone from trying to steal his killer robot or coerce him into letting them use it. This explains why Mega Man loses all weapons and abilities each game; they were thrown out when the o"

"For a title that’s been recreated for the fifth straight time, there is something about Mega Man 5 that comes off as devilishly alluring. Unfortunately, this odd feeling of ‘maturity’ doesn’t really preside over the entire game itself (because that’d be too awesome) but only the concluding fortresses. I’m not sure what the cause of that is but it helps bolster a game in a series where identity is sorely needed.""

So how did Mega Man 5 go from drab to fabulous? That's a question I'd love to answer... if I could.
Mega Man 5 is an uneven beast when it comes to overall difficulty. Fun as it still is figuring out the boss/weapon "weakness chain" it takes next to nothing to get through the initial wave of robot masters and their levels. This and the overall feel of the game changes dramatically once th” read more

"This game had a really interesting story. I never knew light had a brother till this game and his name is Blues.
You would think it would be professor dark you know like light and dark get it? xD Sorry that was a bad joke.
Anyway this game had awesome new villians like gravity man and wave man.
It also introduced a cool new water bike and different ways to play.
It shook up the megaman universe in a good way.
The game was still hard but a blast to take the megabuster for a spin again. "
