I played the 2nd part ("original Trilogy") first, so I was a little disappointed by this one.
Not only are story and characters of Ep. I to III far from matching the classics, but I also missed game elements that were added in part 2, mainly the building of objects out of lego blocks for non force users.

Up to two players can participate in the game at once and are encouraged to utilize team-based tactics with a variety of multi-character parties. Prominent moments from The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith serve as the game's backdrop for storytelling, while favorite personalities such as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Jango Fett can be manipulated to advance your progress.
The Lego aspect also comes into play, as bricks will be built to pass obstacles and be used to guide the characters through their journey. All of the environments are styled and break apart just like the toy line of the same name.
Also included is a multi-player mode, with multiple extras and characters to unlock throughout gameplay.... (more)(less)

"You play yourself through the important events of the prequel trilogy. Which is cool enough. What makes it even cooler is that you do it in LEGO!
Rating:
The Good
* Awesomely fun. You can't do wrong with Star Wars and lego combined.
* Excellent graphics.
* John Williams Soundtrack.
* Get to play as many, many different characters in Free Mode.
* Much to unlock and collect.
The Bad
* I wish there were some kind of game completion percentage in the menu or something. There are so many things"

And in that, I loved it, because you could beat it in relative short order, but still spend weeks and weeks playing it to unlock all the secrets. Oh yes, and you can p"
"What game should we make? I know, let's take a beloved franchise like Star Wars, but make everything out of Legos! Seriously, this game was a project that was a joke of sorts. The ironic part of the story? It made buckets and buckets of money. Fortunately the screw-offs who thought it would just be a gag-game for a few fans were smart enough to make a sequel; after all what's better than buckets of money? More buckets of money."

Entertaining, but not as amusing as its sequel.” read more
