Being a recently re-acquired staple I lost back in 2003 when my *lovely* roommates robbed me blind, Kirby's Dream Land was the first game featuring everyone's favorite pink puffball. While my experiences with Kirby titles beyond this one are extremely limited (the only other one being Kirby's Adventure/Nightmare in Dream Land) and the fact I could probably go on and on why this, along with Metroid... read more

"Kirby’s Dream Land may have two strikes against it – its way too short and way too easy – but such determents mean next to nothing with a game that’s this well crafted. Unfortunately, while the experience is a must have for the Game Boy like Metroid II, Dream Land easily shows the deficiencies of other Kirby-related fare which is really the last thing a staple Nintendo franchise really needs.""

The first Kirby game I played was Kirby's Adventure on the NES, so when I went back and played the original game on Game Boy, I'll admit, I was a little disappointed with the lack of being able to absorb new abilities. That said, if you actually stick with this game and play through to the end, you're rewarded with a charming platformer and a very solid Game Boy game. If you find it too easy, you"

While getting screens to fill up the Game Boy list I've got, I played Kirby's Dream Land for the first time in years...And quickly realized I never beat it as a young'un and never really went back to do so. So, I remedied that. Anyway, I feel this is the weakest of the Kirby platformers...Mostly due to the lack of the ability-stealing feature, which was what got me hooked on games from the adorable cream puff in the first place. Problem One: It's too short.
At five levels, Kirby's Dream Land is simply too short. The levels are fantastic (and beat the tar out of those in Kirby's Adventure) but the game is over before it begins. Add to this the fact the final level is basically a Mega Man-esque ” read more

"One of the first kirby's first appearances was made on the gameboy. The game was in black and white.
I think this game is the only one in the series that you fight an evil blimp and could unlock a harder version of the game.
Also you could get a new ending which was a plus."

Whispy Woods
Why is this wimpy, weeping tree on my favorite boss fight list? Because he's awesome, that's why. He's also the most memorable boss from the Kirby games in my opinion. Heck, he even shares the front cover of the first Kirby game with Kirby himself. Whispy Woods may be a wimp, but he's a wimp that I'm a fan of."
