I kid Cole MacGrath, it's not a cattle prod that he uses as a melee weapon in this one but an "AMP" as they call it. The Amp is awesome, you get to beat people over the head with it while Cole runs his electrical powers through it making it not only something you could beat someone to death with turned off, but it fry's them in the process.
Regardless of how you feel the Amp looks, ... read more

Like its predecessor, infamous 2 is a single player Action-Adventure game set in an Open World game environment. Players take on the role of Cole, the returning anti-hero from the first game. Possessing electric burst abilities through his hands Cole has matured a bit as a superhero type, being more confident and focused in his abilities. He uses these abilities, as well as improved melee possibilities to battle enemies both large and small in mission-based gameplay. Along with combat, choice remains a big part of the game, with an improved morality system that allows for two separate endings to the game, depending on the choices that Cole makes.
User Generated Content
Unlike the original game in the series, infamous 2 contains significant user generated content tools that dramatically expand gameplay possibilities. Centered around a creation tool system, this allows players to create original missions and share them with other player via PlayStation Network. These function more or less as side quests once they are accepted, adding to the player's point total, but not altering the primary mission flow and morality-based aspects of the game.

"Going to the store to buy this Hero Edition is one memory. Beating the game (good side) for the first time is so epic my hands were shaking. I've never played a game that brought tears to my eyes but this one came the closest."

Regardless of how you feel the Amp looks, InFamous 2 is possibly the most awesome game on the Ps3 to date. Cole is back along with his best buddy Zeke and they are heading to New Marais where a Dr. Wolfe who worked on a Ray Sphere prototype can help you gain powers and become powerful enough to defeat the Beast. Along the way two other new characters join your little group, agent Lucy Kuo and Nix; both of which are conduits with the powers of ” read more

"Lucy Kuo
Lucy Kuo was a forced conduit who ended up being completely awesome. She used the power of ice and could combine her powers with Cole, plus her outfit was so awesome my wife is dressing up as her for Halloween and I get to be Cole, woohoo."

"01 - The best game you played during the last year
This game came out in the spring and I'm still playing it, on my 3rd playthrough. Why? Because it's freakin' awesome that's why. I love the characters, helps if you've played the first, I love the story, the gameplay is the solid base from the first one with extra whipped cream and sauce added on top. The UGC concept is working and keeps the game fresh and new. The new combining powers thing blows my mind, and I seriously wanted to cry at the "

"07: Favorite Voice
Cole MacGrath - This choice has more to do with the amazing voice acting than his actual voice. I can't say enough how impressed I am with the whole cast of this game, but Cole definitely leads the charge.

"2011
Another year with a lack of great titles, I am absolutely blown away with InFamous 2! I don't usually pre-order games, and I don't usually buy special type editions, but I caved when I saw the backpack included (not to mention the statue and soundtrack, and some small comic). InFamous 2 is everything I want in an action game: good story, great characters, amazing voice acting, awesome gameplay and action sequences. I also love the level creator and making UGC (user generated content) the ga"

"Day 26 - Best voice acting
I almost put this game in for best story, but one of the reasons the story is so good is because of the voice acting. This game was as good/better than InFamous. The addition of Kuo and Nix to Zeke and Cole made for a great cast and with the good ending, I almost wanted to cry at the ending it's that good."

"Difficulty - 4/10
Easier than the first just because almost all trophies are story-related this time and none are as difficult or time consuming; there are even less blast shards to find than the first. Still an awesome game though, best story and characters acting I've seen in a game."

"I was a fan of InFAMOUS before it was free. That said, I had no qualms about paying extra for a statue of Cole, a soundtrack, and a... backpack?!? Heck yes! The sequel did not disappoint either. Cole is back with some new tricks and different city to conquer (or help). With the different karma opportunities and dividing story line, you're essentially buying two games for one. All that, and the good karma storyline had me craving more; more as in movie. Seriously, I haven't seen this good of writ"
