Some things just should stay where they are

I really quite liked Halo on the console. Some great gameplay with some friends round, they did a pretty darned good job. And then there came the PC port. Full of exactly the same moments, it was really heart-warming to see that Bungie and Microsoft had gone to all the effort to make the PC port fun and enjoyabSTOP RIGHT THERE. To begin with, it was late. So what, with good gameplay, its alright to be fashionably late. Apparently not. The game looked like a slapped arse, with out of date textures and effects. Normally, this doesn't bother me, but the gameplay was dire too. Then the AI was terrible. And the multiplayer was dire This is a fine example of why Halo should stay where it is. Halo 2 was just as bad, and I can tell you now that I will definitely not be buying Halo 3 so Microsoft can bleed yet more cash out of a game. Screw cross-platform gameplay, I'm gonna go play something else
