A Very Underrated FF Game.

Posted : 1 year, 9 months ago at Mar 6 17:57
A lot of people judge FFX-2 on appearances, but after playing it through almost twice (during my first play i had to restart 3/4 through due to PS2 malfunction!) i really found a lot to like about this game. It has a bit of a girlish element to it at first, considering the only 3 characters you get are Women, and at the very start they seem to be singing for a living which i thought was lame. But After you get about 20 minutes in it is just like FFX but it expands upon things and finishes the story. There are some brilliant elements to it such as the spheres you can find throughout the game, these add depth to this story and also to FFX's story, there are parts of the world that you were unable to explore in the first that are open in the second. It wraps things up for the story, explains ...Read more

Severely underappreciated

You'll hear a lot about how terrible this game is, but it isn't. If you've been playing Final Fantasy games as long as I have, you will respect this game for daring to be original. It is a game you have mixed odds of liking. You have to understand exactly what you're getting into first: If you expect more of the same from FFX, you will be very disappointed. However, for what it is, without being compared to anything else, it is rather exceptional, and is perhaps the best game in the Final Fantasy series. The main story path is rather short. You could probably finish it in 10 hours if you pushed a bit. However, the main path accounts for a relatively small portion of the game. There is so much optional content that you will easily get as much out of X-2 as any other game in the series if...Read more

Girl Power!

Posted : 2 years, 7 months ago at May 1 22:17
Whoop-dee-do, the first FF sequel, although it was a good one to continue on. I docked it a couple points because it is a bit cheesy and girly. I still love the genre and FF, but this was one of the lighter ones in the series. Lots of side missions, beautiful cgi in between, and those wacky girls cruising around having a good time.

Alright, I put a Hell of a lot of hours into this, and I still don't think I'm going to get 100%. Screw it, I'm going to look up the perfect ending online.

But I will get the Mascot.
