Final Fantasy VIII is the first and only game that i fell in love. I honestly loved it. And i still do! But i don't play it any more, cause i finished it like ten times in a row and i think it's enough. I played twice with only the main storyline. There were bits and parts that i left behind. I knew they were here. I just wasn't really interesting about them at the point. So i played again a lot o... read more

It introduces many gameplay changes compared to the previous installments of the series. You don't get money from random enemies, but instead have to earn it during your missions as a SeeD. You can customize your characters by equipping them with magic spells, which you can draw from enemies in battles. You can also cast those spells the same way you would use an item, since you don't have MP in the game. The trademark summoned monsters (called Guardian Forces in this game) play a very important role in the customization process. You can "junction" them to your characters and learn various abilities from them. They can also be summoned in battles.

"The PC edition of FF VIII was released a year later, and was criticized by Gamespot as being a "completely inadequate conversion". The graphics and sound were better on the original PlayStation platform, as the low resolution textures ideal for TVs were simply magnified to a higher resolution on the PC, making everything noticeably worse."
