"For the first 10 or so years of my life, this was easily my favorite video game of all time. It's still extremely fun, and easily my favorite of the Final Fantasy series. I appreciate the game now for very different reasons than I did when I was younger. The materia system works great, allowing for a good range of customization. I love all the characters, and Sephiroth is an awesome villain. This is probably the hardest game in the series, with Ruby Weapon still posing a challenge to this day."

"For what this game meant and how epic it was when it came out in so many ways it could easily be higher. It's actually one of the games that I enjoy reading about and watching people (my brother, friends) play just as much because I can't make Cloud fight better or anything because it's not that type of game. The story, graphics (for its time) and characters are what make this game great for me."
