Great way to kill time... and Final Fant

The graphics in this game was quite cool and beautiful in its FMV movies. The learning curve for the controls is short, which is good, and the characters in this game have great voice actors (thankfully, most were kept intact from the Advent Children movie). The story was great, adding a twist to itself and the other Final Fantasy VII spin-offs, although it still seemed lacking. Other nice features included the little shop music-box, the end of level trade-in, which gives you the option to either gain levels (thus becoming stronger) or trading it all in for money (thus becoming richer). Another thing to compliment is the fact that Square-Enix chose to make the main character run faster, and the weapon lighter, thus no sluggish gameplay during the heat of battle; which really helps during ...Read more

I was there at the beginning when Final Fantasy VII was first released. The game is by far the best game I've ever played. One of the weaker aspects of the game fall under the title: 'Characters I don't care about.' This should be reserved for the villains as you side with your protagonist. Don't get me wrong, Cloud and the majority were some of the most memeorable heroes of all time. But the likes of Sephiroth, Hojo, the Turks are a force to be reckoned with. My point being, I felt no sympathy for Aeris dying, I hated Cait Sith and Vincent Valentine was nothing. The fanboys who love Cloud/Reno/Vincent slash fiction had their wetdreams come true when Vincent became the main character.
