No lie, lots of nostalgia value here for me. A very simple JRPG. Good characters, good story. Both a tad on the simple side, but considering it's from the SNES-era, it's pretty darn good.

Some people consider this one of the greatest games of all time. It certainly introduced a number of new innovations that became part and parcel of the rest of the Final Fantasy series and RPG's in general.

Final Fantasy II in North America was actually Final Fantasy IV over in Japan. This fourth entry in the Final Fantasy series is really the first one to deliver a captivating story to go along with the enjoyable gameplay. Watching Cecil's character develop as the story progresses is a fine example of excellent storytelling in video games. If you can't hunt down a copy for the Super NES, Square Enix has pim"
""My relationship with Final Fantasy IV is a peculiar one. The game more than deserves all the praise it receives but for some reason I seem to be immune to its tasty charms while playing. Something just feels off about this Final Fantasy but as to what that thing is I am unsure. The only thing I am sure of is that the problem probably lies more with me than it does with the game itself.""

"This game was known as Final Fantasy IV outside the US. I liked the game because of its medieval/tech feel, and that the storyline seemed more grown up and darker than many of the other final fantasy games. Also, it had great music.

"Rosa
Even though Rosa was a more promenant character she wasn't as memorable. I still liked her though, she had spirit and kept on the fight.
Rydia
Rydia was a crazy powerful summoner! I liked who she starts as a child but then ages quickly due to spending time in the Feymarch so she is a young woman later in the game too. Drop dead gorgeous young woman too."

"Day 10 Favorite Outfit
I can only assume that Kain's awesome outfit was inspiration for the judges in FFXII. Their outfits are awesome, and Kain is also a badass so there's a connection there."

"Guy
Guy serves as a party member for the entire game but his role is rather minimal. However, he packs a punch! Guy has the stats and the weapon affinity to crush all that stand in his way."

"Another classic, this one was the first step into the 16-bit era of gaming. The game had everything to offer, good story, good gameplay, good characters; which makes it an overall good game. Not great, just good. I only really liked Kain, the rest I could take or leave, but something this one did different was you had more characters coming and going from your party than the others. Just because a character joined you, didn't mean you had them for the rest of the game, it was a fun change."
