As always I had a difficult time picking one protagonist, because there are too many to choose from.
Laharl is an arrogant and powerful character, and he evolves without losing this traits. It could fit with another game antagonist personality, and this is one of the main reasons I have chosen him. The other one is his relationship with Flonne as the game progresses.
Runner-ups for this category would be: Ryudo (Grandia II), Solid Snake, Marona (Phantom Brave), Adam Jensen (Deus Ex: Human "

"In Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, change is imminent. The dark Netherworld has been overtaken by evil rulership and Prince Lahari, the rightful king, must fight his way back to the throne. As Lahari, assemble a massive army from over 150 character classes and monsters to decimate opposing forces. Decimate your enemies by upgrading your weapons and unleashing mind-blowing spells, special skills, and devastating group attacks. It's time for you to start acting like a king."

"This is the first in a long line of Disgaea games, and one of the best and deepest strategy RPG games. The sheer amount of options and customization on this game are insane, and the graphics are beautifully done. I thoroughly enjoyed this one, and would recommend it for anyone who enjoys the strategy RPG genre."
"Disgaea is a game you could sink 100 hours into and only scratch the surface. Addictive as anything i've ever played with cool SRPG gameplay and wierd and whacky characters."
