Golf sim games can be marvellously entertaining, but notoriously difficult to sell to an audience of gamers mad for lasers, big swords and the foetid undead. The solution? Slap a world-famous golfer on the cover, like Tiger Woods, and people suddenly start to get interested ... Let's be honest--golf sims are much of a muchness. You've seen eighteen holes, you've seen 'em all. But at least this one is graced with expert graphics, a detailed playing system and enough variety to keep you--and up to three friends--coming back for more. The basic game is quite involving, and fast-paced enough to keep you busy. It's when you get to the more involved play modes that the fun really begins, but just make sure you know some like-minded gamers. All the extra modes (such as Tournament) are best played with other people, although the game features a Practice mode and a neat Range feature (where you can brush up on your swinging style) to keep the solo player keen. CyberTiger is an accomplished golf game, with a high level of accuracy and detail--not to mention a few heaped spoonfuls of fun. If the Tiger namedrop makes people notice it then all the better, for this is a jewel of a golf game and well worth your attention.--David Bailey (Review copyright Amazon.co.uk)
