No Crysis at Crytek

It is very hard to try and start a sentence post Crysis as this game left me in such a state of awe that the dopamine released left me as a drooling wreck. From start to finish the action is non stop, the graphics are unbelievably beautiful and the user interfaces are innovative and stylish. In short this game is a work of art. There were at least five times where I paused just to admire the scenery overlooking a bay or a giant chasm. The start of the game begins at 124 Mph…….literally! From then on it only picks up pace, you shortly lose half your team mates to an unknown evil and once the squad leader is speared and dragged into the sky, the scene is set for the protagonist: Call sign NOMAD to take centre stage. Well, first of all Crysis has a type of dynamic, emergent shooter gameplay It's unparalleled visuals with destructible environments just sometimes shocks your eyes when playing it, the graphics are astonishing, better than ANY shooter ever, and Crysis is an amazing accomplishment overall. Well, stuff that didn't satisfy me is the high stats Crysis needs for it's own good, but sure that is possible if you have ALIENWARE Laptops and PC's with Quad Core Extreme's and 8 - 16 gb RAM. Video card is also something that wonders me from time to time. NVIDIA 8800 and above is sure not a joke, but this game ain't a joke either, comparing it with Counter Strike, CS would be foul shit compared to Crysis. Crysis gives you all of these toys and ratchets the action higher and higher the deeper yo...Read more

From the makers of the seizure-inducing Far Cry, comes a game that blows its predecessor out of the water. First and foremost, Crysis is an amazingly fun game to play. What I enjoyed from the off was the non-linear game play and the multiple ways you could set about achieving your aims. If your machine can handle it (maybe you work for NASA or something) then it will literally feel as though you are playing through a hollywood film. If I stand still and am overlooking a huge harbour or something, I'll treat myself by throwing all the graphics onto full just to admire the scenery. I think my PC would burn a hole in the floor if I tried to play through the game on those settings though. The plot line is pretty ludicrous. Set in the future, you and your uberteam of badasses are dropped...Read more
