Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun review

Futuristic world-warfare in my favourite Command and Conquer universe. Many years have passed since the first Tiberium war and the Earth is suffering big time. GDI has pumped money into a whole new array of military units and just when you thought Nod were gone, they reappear, sparking another world war on the already Tiberium infested, ion storm ravaged Earth.

They tried something different with the units here, doing away with the standard tanks and replacing them with bipedal walking units. It sort of works. The most positive aspects of the game are the superb casting for the cutscenes and the extremely well created bleak outlook the game manages to create.

The only real drawback is that skirmishes against computer enemies are almost unplayable at the highest tech-setting due to the ridiculous 'Hunter-seeker' droid units, which target, attach to and then destroys a unit (which always happens to be your construction yard whenever the CPU unleashes it). Disappointing. The Tiberium story is one of the greatest ever told in a game though, no question.
