So your frog buddy is on a date with a human princess, and is kidnapped, go through some crazy worlds and pound the heck out of anything in your way. It might be a rip-off of TMNT, but these frogs use their fists. Nice variety in the levels and some cool graphics for the NES.
I should give it a 10 just for the greatest pause theme ever.

Battletoads. A weird mash up of frog/toads named after every teenagers facial acne nightmare. Pimple and some princess chick get captured by some hot queen lady and you have to rescue them. Have no fear, Zitz and Rash are here! This game's two player was a blessing and a curse. You were glad for the help of your sidekick fellow when it came to the beat-up levels, but the races were a memorization nightmare times 2. All in all, Battletoads still has quite a following despite no new games for man"

"This did a hell of a job of luring us into a false sense of security. The first level was a breeze. That changed fast. Makers Rare went on to make kid-friendly games Viva Pinata and Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. They’re clearly trying to make amends for the surfboard mission."
