Gallows are a hardcore punk band from Watford, England. The band was formed in 2005 after the disbandment of founding member Laurent Barnard's previous band, My Dad Joe. Gallows' debut album, Orchestra of Wolves, was distributed in the United States by Epitaph Records, and they were subsequently signed to Warner Bros. Records for a £1 million album contract with up to three options, a deal they were infamously dropped from after one album, Grey Britain. The band has been particularly successful

The band has been particularly successful in their native country, with three songs charting on the UK Single Charts, and have been featured in magazines such as Kerrang!, Alternative Press and Rolling Stone.
The now legendary UK punk band Gallows today announce the departure of their frontman Frank Carter. Having redefined punk rock since the release of their debut album ‘Orchestra Of Wolves’ in 2006, Gallows brought punk rock kicking, screaming and snarling into the mainstream, climaxing with the harsh and bitterly angry ‘Grey Britain’ album in 2009 but are now set to embark on new paths.

Those bands that suprised me. I was just going to check this band for fun at the festival but WHAT THE FUCK. Vocalist takes the mic and micstand with him to the crowd and everybody sang with him (those who are fans). Some hardcore shit from this band! "

 Music & Me (20 person items)"Gallows. One of my latest, but also one of my greatest discoveries. I've had that time in my life when I tried listening to artists like this. And none of them really got to me. So I wonder why Gallows is so special for me me. It's mainly screaming (at least to my dad) and I've never liked a band like this before. Still I absolutely adore Gallows... hopefully even though Frank decided to leave the band.

 Legends of My Life (7 person items)"I love this band and especially the lead singer Frank Carter. He's a fucking prick. And that ginger hair...man he's something. He's like a little Johnny Rotten Jr. Gallows really brought back my memories of Sex Pistols so they're important to me too.
Gallows is pretty much the best punkband of 2000s.
