"Exotic Birds were a synthpop band from Cleveland, Ohio. Active between 1983 and 1988. Trent Reznor joined the band in 1986 and stayed till the split of the band in 1988. His roommate and later NIN-member Chris Vrenna also joined the band, shortly after TR. Trent also appeared with the Exotic Birds as the fictional band "The Problems" in the movie Light of Day in 1987. In 1990 the group reformed, but without Trent Reznor. Their second run lasted until 1994."
