if you want to know anything about zombie films you have to see this. its the classic. its the must see zombie film.

imagines in this film stick with you. it gets under your skin.

yes, there are zombie films that i like more than Night of the Living Dead, and no it is NOT the first nor the first like it. it is however very well done and absolutely essential!

This movie will forever be linked with starting the zombie craze and I believe it was also the first horror movie to star a African American, being Duane Jones. His acting is what makes this film and he shows off as a great leader that eventually doesn't make it in the end. I'm not a fan of remakes to much but I actually like the remake a bit better than the original. This one still holds up well ... read more

I'm not a fan of remakes to much but I actually like the remake a bit better than the original. This one still holds up well today and I watch it often still. The best part about this film is the way it opens. Brother and sister fighting while visiting a relatives grave and you think everything is peaceful, but you slowly find out it's not and it's only the beginning.
