The animated movies produced by Lions Gate for Marvel have as a whole been inferior to their DC Warner produced counterparts. The Doctor Strange movie is one of the better efforts, up there with the first Ultimate Avengers movie. The animation is solid; high end television quality. The story takes a some liberties with the Doctor's origins, but on the whole it's reasonably faithful to his comic book origins. The movie is kind of one long build-up to the big finish. I liked it enough that I'd like to see another Doctor Strange movie now that we've gotten past the necessity of an origin story.” read more
