Remembering Stevie Ray Vaughan (30 person items)"The first time Stevie and I met, he told me he had watched me before. It was in Austin, we were onstage, and I heard these electrified notes coming out from me like lightning and thunder behind me. And he had slipped up on stage behind me. And I turned around and said, "Who's that?" and the vibe was just there. This is Stevie Ray Vaughan. I said, "I've been looking for you." You know, it was like I found what I had been looking for. The rest of the night we played, almost until daybreak that nex"

ICONIC IMAGES OF MUSIC LEGENDS — THE BLUES (9 person items)"05/03/1983– “To Muddy”, Blues greats James Cotton and Buddy Guy at the Checkerboard Lounge for Muddy Waters’ funeral wake – Image by © Kirk West.
Muddy was the man, and upon his passing in 1983, anyone who was anyone in Blues came to pay tribute to one of the most important musical icons of the last century. Period. End of story."

My Favorite Guitar Tones (20 person items)"When the guitar plays the Blues, it's hard to imagine without Buddy Guy all the people he's influenced. The closest thing to him was Jimi Hendrix's arrival in the 60's, and now so much of his tone has become a common thing with playing Blues and at the end of the day he's still very underrated. I prefer much of his first sounds with the Strat on the album Man and the Blues, and he also knew how to make the Gibson SG sound good.

Origins of Guitar - The Original Masters (13 person items)"You can take it from Stevie Ray, right now.
Without Buddy Guy, the blues, not to mention rock as we know it, might be a heckuva lot less interesting today. Take the blues out of contemporary rock music—or pop, jazz and funk for that matter—and what you have left is a wholly spineless affair. A tasteless stew. Makes you shudder to think about it...
- Stevie Ray Vaughan
Now one must forgive me, cause I have not heard a whole lot of Buddy Guy's classic work, outside songs on greatest hits."

Buddy Guy is a big name when it comes to Blues, but I am so shocked at how many people seem to have never heard of the guy when they are listening to fast paced Rock o"
Gostava do som da voz do meu pai e do fato dele sempre querer me ensinar as coisas "
