Overrated.

This is the most teenager overrated crap I've ever read. And I am saying this as a 17 year old girl that usually likes best sellers.

The cover says it is one of the best suspense novel ever written. Readers say it's adventure. Honestly, all I saw was a cheesy romance, with really-not-deep characters. All Edward can do (besides everything, because he is a Gary Stu) is laugh. An ironi... read more

Pretty Good Start To A Vampire Series

When books and movies become popular and a fad I usually shy away from them until the curiosity gets the better of me. Which is pretty much years down the track for a movie or at the end of a book series. Curiosity won out far earlier then I was expecting and I'm glad I gave in.
This isn't exactly a masterpiece, it's not ingenious writing, it's not even crammed with detail but it was very a... read more

Description: "Softly he brushed my cheek, then held my face between his marble hands. 'Be very still,' he whispered, as if I wasn't already frozen. Slowly, never moving his eyes from mine, he leaned toward me. Then abruptly, but very gently, he rested his cold cheek against the hollow at the base of my throat." As Shakespeare knew, lo ... (more)

“OK, I admit it, curiosity got the better of me. My wife read the whole series and really loved it. When the movie came out, I thought I could kill two birds with one stone (so to speak): 1)I could be romantic and take her to see Twilight on opening day and 2)I could see exactly what the deal was with the story between Bella and Edward. The movie was OK, not great, but not completely bad either. After hearing from several people that the movie was totally different then the book, I finally gave in and read it. Without giving anything away, I did like the idea of the story. Bella and Edward were likeable characters, for the most part. The problem that I did have with the book was it left me wanting more to happen. This is after all a story about vampires. I was expecting more to that side of” read more

"Day 12 - A book that you hate ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I started to read this book without prejudice. I didn't read any reviews, I don't even know what it's about prior to buying it. All i knew that it was a popular romance novel, and I bought it, thinking i probably might like it. Boy, was I wrong. This was before everyone condemn the Twilight series so I don't know what to expect. I'm kicking myself thinking: do people actually like th"

Alright, this is my Book-Meme (The 20 Day-Version) (24 books items)

"I dislike these because I think they are simply boring. I thought the first one was an average piece of work, but after I had read the second (that took me a long time) I stopped to read the Twilight Series. I find the story to repetitive and tiring after some time. The charatcers didn't appeal to me from the beginning and I don't like the fact that Stephenie Meyer lets too much of her personal views and values slip in. So I lost interest in it, there are certainly way better books that deal wi"
