A primeira vez que vi esse livro foi por volta do começo de 2007, quando ainda fazia faculdade de Jornalismo. Um dia, saindo da faculdade, passei numa livraria no shopping e o nome me chamou a atenção. Fiquei enrolando para comprar (o que acabou não acontecendo), e somente mês passado consegui encontrá-lo na biblioteca do metrô Paraíso, e resolvi lê-lo.

“A primeira vez que vi esse livro foi por volta do começo de 2007, quando ainda fazia faculdade de Jornalismo. Um dia, saindo da faculdade, passei numa livraria no shopping e o nome me chamou a atenção. Fiquei enrolando para comprar (o que acabou não acontecendo), e somente mês passado consegui encontrá-lo na biblioteca do metrô Paraíso, e resolvi lê-lo.

O livro conta a história de Liesel Meminger, uma menina que, após perder o irmão, é deixada com Rosa e Hanz Hubermann por sua mãe, numa Alemanha começando a ser devastada pela Segunda Guerra Mundial. A história praticamente se passa toda na casa dos Hubermann, na rua Himmel (palavra que significa 'céu', em alemão), e é contada por ninguém menos que a Morte.
