Drawing from the author's own childhood experience as she was reminded of God's anger in days of old, this book shows why it is in the interest of organized religion that God should be cruel at times.

A God of total love does not punish. This is unacceptable to most believers. Who would punish the bad? So we continue to perpetuate stories of God's anger and punishment although Christ tried His best to show that God was love and forgiveness.
