Darkness fills Middle Earth - all Sauron needs for total power is the one ring. Meanwhile, in the tiny and insignificant Shire, a young Hobbit finds himself entrusted with the task of making a perilous journey into the heart of Sauron's realm and destroying the ring.

Filled with acts of bravery, magic and myth - it's rightly considered one of the best books ever written.
